Tricia's Visit - Day 3 & 4

Tricia's favorite food is Mexican food. Where can you get better Mexican food than Los Angeles? so we started out at Las Fuentes in Reseda.

After lunch we headed out to do the tourist thing in Hollywood. First, Hollywood & Highland.

I love taking photos of people taking photos. Call me a whore for post-modernism.

Tricia needed sunglasses. I suggested these.

She went with something a little less Elton John

Next we hit up a few cheesy souvenir shops. This bit of nihilistic graffiti was found on the floor of one of those shops:

Who knew Mountain Dew was so fun?

Cheeky souvenirs

Of course, the were holding the "Beerfest" premiere at Graumann's, so we couldn't get into the forecourt

This was as close as we could get:

I can name at least two things wrong with this tour company name

After Hollywood & Highland, we drove up into Hollywoodland to look at houses and take photos of the Hollywood sign. And I got to teach Tricia about "gun n' run" shooting

We drove through Beverly Hills to look at more mansions, then it was time for dinner at The Stinking Rose, where they season their garlic with food.

In the ladies lounge, we found this charming statue:

Tricia was excited - she wants a baby.

Looks pretty comfortable, right?

A kiss for good luck

I avoided the fertility god and instead played sultry on the velvet chaise

Tricia, David, and a lot of garlic

The four of us, plus the valet guy's thumb

On their last day in town, we only had time for lunch. They had never had Cuban food, so we went to El Rincon in Culver City, a fantastic little Cuban place (if you have only ever eaten at Versailles, you have not eaten Cuban food).

So this was our last shot of the weekend:
