Pirrrrrate day

Today we had an actual pirrrrrrate day.

Driving to Disneyland

Cap'n Jack greeted us at the tram stop

We had lunch deep in the jungles of the Rainforest (Cafe, that is)

They have a couple huge aquariums there. Not quite as impressive as the aquariums at Atlantis, but you don't have to go to the bowels of the Bahamas to see them

We FINALLY got to see "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" at Downtown Disney

Tim's big head... I have no idea where we were at this point.

From there, we took the Monorail from Downtown Disney straight into the park

Space Mountain from the Monorail

Disney does L.A. traffic

Not much progress has been made on the Nemo ride

Our Pirrrrrrate Adventure continues at The Blue Bayou for dinner. The only sit-down restaurant in Disneyland (save for Club 33), right on the water of the "Pirates of the Caribbean" ride

Treasure in the lobby

Waiting for rolls

We got pirrrrate themed desserts. Tim ordered the cookie boat, while I had the creme brulee trio. Can you spot the Mickey head?

I got a plastic treasure chest with two gold dubloons

We got out of dinner just in time for the fireworks spectacular

FINALLY we made it onto the newly renovated "Pirates of the Caribbean" ride

Squawk! Walk the plank!

Not pirrrrate themed, but we couldn't pass up the Haunted Mansion

Even Fantasmic has pirrrrrates

On our way to Zanzibar... or just onto the Jungle Cruise

Before we got on the road, Tim needed a pit stop. I snapped photos of the parking structure and tram loading/unloading zone

The drive home

Only in Los Angeles can you hit gridlock traffic at 12:30 AM
